Sustainability Consultancy

Sustainability consulting involves a third party organization working with a business to reduce their environmental impact and foster sustainable practices. More specifically, sustainability consulting “supports businesses as they transition from conventional business models and practices to higher standards of social and environmental responsibility.”

Consultants do this in many different ways, but generally they first assess the environmental impact of the company based on various metrics, create a clear set of goals, and finally craft an action plan for the business to follow.

An important note is that sustainability consulting considers both financial and environmental factors, meaning consultants will search for solutions that maximize profits and efficiency while simultaneously improving client sustainability.
